Batter Fried Fish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. whitefish
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, separated
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    1 Tbsp. fat, melted
Preparation
    Cut fish into serving pieces.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
    Drop egg yolk in center.
    Add water and melted fat and mix well.
    Fold in beaten egg white.
    Dry fish pieces and dip into batter.
    Heat shortening to 365\u00b0.
    Drop fish into hot oil for 4 to 6 minutes.
    Drain onto paper towels.
