Fresh Apple Cinnamon Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. peeled, finely chopped apple (1 medium)
1/2 c. melted butter
1/3 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
Preparation

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and salt in large bowl.
Beat egg with milk.
Stir in apple and butter.
Add all at once to flour mixture; stir just until moistened (batter will be stiff).
Fill 12 buttered 2 1/2-inch muffin cups 2/3 full.
Combine nuts, brown sugar and remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
Sprinkle over each muffin.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove from pan immediately.
Serve warm. Makes 1 dozen.
