Marinated Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1/2 c. Heinz wine vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. dried basil
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme
    6 peppercorns
    1 split clove garlic
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Combine all the ingredients, except mushrooms.
    Heat to boiling. Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
    Add 1 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms.
    Simmer uncovered for 3 minutes.
    Transfer mushrooms and liquid to small bowl and cover.
    Chill several hours or overnight, stirring occasionally.
    Drain and serve.
    Makes about 3 1/2 cups.
