Onion Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 medium onions, sliced thin
2 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. flour
2 c. consomme
4 c. water
1/4 c. boiled milk
1/4 lb. grated Swiss cheese
6 dried slices French bread
2 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation

In a heavy skillet, cook onion in heated butter until slightly browned.
Sprinkle with flour and cook over low flame until golden, never allowing them to become dark brown.
Add consomme and water.
Bring to boil, stirring constantly with wooden spoon, then simmer for 20 minutes, uncovered.
Add milk.
