Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2 c. scalded milk
    1 c. bread cubes
    1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salt, cinnamon, butter, vanilla and egg.
    Add milk slowly, stirring constantly.
    Add bread cubes and raisins. Pour into well-buttered baking dish.
    Set in pan of warm water and bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 about 1 hour or until inserted knife comes out clean.
    May be eaten warm or cold with cream or whipped topping.
