Strawberry Angel Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 serving size) pkg. strawberry-flavored gelatin
    dash of salt
    2 1/2 c. boiling water
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
    1 large or 2 small angel food cakes
    2 c. frozen whipped topping plus additional topping (for icing), thawed
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water in a large bowl. Add strawberries with their juice (break up and distribute thoroughly if still partially frozen).
    Refrigerate until partially set, 45 minutes to one hour.
