Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Stir dry ingredients together.
    Mix milk and egg and add to dry mixture.
    Mix thoroughly, but do not beat.
    Add nuts.
    Bake in greased loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour or until straw comes out clean.
    Beat if kept for a day or two, then slice as thin as possible and serve with butter or cream cheese.
    Can be made 3 or 4 days in advance.
    Also freezes well.
    Makes 1 small loaf.
    May use batter to make muffins.
