Rice Pulao With Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    6 cloves
    2 small pieces cinnamon
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. caraway seed (optional)
    2 c. uncooked rice (do not use Minute rice)
    1 c. peas (raw) or any other desired vegetable
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    4 c. hot water
Preparation
    Heat butter in a heavy pan.
    Add cloves and cinnamon.
    Add turmeric and caraway seed.
    Fry spices slowly for a minute over low heat.
    Add rice, peas and salt.
    Mix and fry gently 2 to 3 minutes, stirring.
    Add hot water; bring to a boil.
    Then turn the heat very low and cook for 15 to 20 minutes with the lid on.
    Add hard-boiled eggs, if desired.
    Serves 6 to 8 people.
