Cranberry Orange Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
    1 c. fresh cranberries
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    juice and grated rind of 1 orange
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together into large bowl.
    Put juice and rind in measuring cup and add enough boiling water to make 3/4 cup.
    Add to dry
    mixture.
    Add egg and melted shortening and mix just enough to moisten flour mixture.
    Fold in cranberries and nuts.
    Bake in greased loaf pan at 325\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
