Pork Chops On Rice(Makes 6 Servings.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium pork chops
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    3 ripe tomatoes or 1 (No. 303) can stewing tomatoes
    1 medium onion
    1 can consomme soup
Preparation
    Brown and season pork chops.
    Put the uncooked rice in a baking dish; lay the pork chops on top.
    Place a slice of tomato or a spoonful of stewed tomatoes and a slice of onion on each chop.
    Pour over this a can of consomme soup.
    Bake in a covered dish 45 minutes at 300\u00b0.
    Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer.
    Be sure to have baking dish large enough to take care of the rice as it cooks.
