Red Cabbage (Rotkraut) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. red cabbage, shredded
2 tart apples
1/2 bay leaf
1 tsp. salt
4 cloves
1/2 c. red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp. shortening
1 c. water
1 tsp. sugar, salt and pepper
Preparation

Put cabbage, apples, bay leaf, salt and cloves into bowl. Pour vinegar over mixture; mix well.
Cover and let set overnight.
