Cherry Dump Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 (20 oz.) can cherry pie filling
    1 box yellow cake mix
    2 sticks butter
Preparation
    Place pineapple (don't drain) in oblong baking dish.
    Place cherry pie filling on top of pineapple.
    Pour dry cake mix evenly over mixture.
    Slice pieces of butter and cover cake.
    Mix well. Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
    Check occasionally when baking.
    If dry spots in cake mix appear, use extra butter in these spots.
