Maw-Maw'S Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened baking chocolate
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. evaporated milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    3 large marshmallows
    1/4 to 1/2 c. nuts or raisins
Preparation
    Add the first 5 ingredients; stir well over low heat until melted.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook over low heat with no stirring to reach soft ball stage (10 to 15 minutes).
    Remove from heat; let stand 30 to 40 minutes (110\u00b0).
    Stir in remaining ingredients; beat vigorously with wooden spoon until it loses its gloss.
    Pour into an 8 or 9-inch pan.
    (When marshmallows are melted, beating is probably over.)
