Delicious Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. plus 1 Tbsp. buttermilk
2 c. flour
3 large, ripe bananas, mashed
1 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well.
Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Dissolve soda in buttermilk; add to creamed mixture alternately with flour, beginning and ending with flour.
Stir in mashed bananas and pecans.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Fold into batter.
Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8-inch round pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
