Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head iceberg lettuce
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1 c. chopped onion (red)
    2 pkg. frozen peas
    1 1/2 c. salad dressing
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Tear lettuce and place a layer in deep glass bowl.
    Sprinkle on 1/2 of celery, green pepper, onion and peas.
    Repeat layers. Add sugar to salad dressing and spread over top to seal edges. Sprinkle on cheese.
    Cover with foil or plastic wrap and refrigerate for 12 hours.
    Toss just before serving.
