Ingredients

2 c. light brown sugar
1 c. melted margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. walnuts
Preparation

Melt margarine in saucepan.
Add sugar and stir.
Break egg yolks and add vanilla.
Mix well; set aside.
Add dry ingredients to margarine mixture.
Mix well.
Will be thick.
Add egg mixture. Beat all together.
Pour mixture into a 9 x 9-inch cake pan that has been lined with plastic wrap.
Spread and cover mix with wrap. Refrigerate until firm.
Slice thin and bake on an ungreased cookie tin for 10 minutes.
Remove immediately.
Store in tight fitting topped cookie jar.
