Date Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. hot water
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 egg
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Put soda in water and pour over dates; let cool.
    Add sugar, butter, flour and egg.
    Blend in nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until shiny on top and done with toothpick touch.
    Cool and serve with whipped cream.
