Apple Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium apples (chopped, skins and all, to equal 1 c.)
    1/3 c. shortening
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/3 c. nuts
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix eggs, sugar and shortening, then add dry ingredients.
    Add apples and nuts. Put in loaf pan.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 minutes, then at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until done.
