Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. liquid shortening
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped pecans
    4 large bananas (ripe)
Preparation
    Mix by hand in order given.
    Dissolve soda in buttermilk (regular milk with 1/4 teaspoon vinegar).
    Mash bananas and add. Pour into greased and floured pans (3 small).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
