Crispy Cucumbers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 qt. young 4 to 6-inch cucumbers, sliced 1/4-inch or thinner
    1/3 c. salt
    6 medium onions, sliced
Preparation
    Arrange cucumbers and onions in alternate layers.
    Put salt on top and cover with boiling water.
    Let stand 3 hours, then drain.
