Squash And Apple Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. butternut or acorn squash (about 2 small)
    1/4 c. margarine, melted
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. ground mace
    1 Tbsp. plain all-purpose flour
    2 c. cooking apples, cut into 1/2-inch slices
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cut each squash in half lengthwise.
    Remove seeds.
    Peel and cut into 1/2-inch slices.
    Arrange in a lightly greased 8 x 12 x 2-inch baking dish. Top with apple slices.
    Combine remaining ingredients, mixing well. Spoon over apple slices.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until squash is tender. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
