Almond Joy Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box butter chocolate cake mix
    2 c. sugar
    1 (16 oz.) sour cream
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen coconut
    1 1/2 c. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix in 2 layers (split to make 4) or oblong layer.
    Split into layers when cooled.
    Mix 2 cups of sugar, sour cream and coconut.
    Set aside 1 cup of the mixture.
    Put remaining mixture between layers.
