Calumet Baking Powder Corn Bread - cooking recipe

2 c. yellow corn meal
1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. all-purpose flour
4 level tsp. salt
3 eggs
2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation

Pour boiling water over corn meal and let stand until cool. Sift flour together with baking powder and salt.
Beat eggs until light and add them to corn meal, then add milk, flour and melted butter.
Beat until the batter is smooth.
Pour into a shallow, well-greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake in a 450\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes. Makes 8 to 10 generous servings.
