Lemon Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs, beaten
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. lemon juice
2 tsp. grated lemon peel
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Sift together 2 cups flour and powdered sugar.
Cut in butter until mixture clings together.
Press mixture into a 13 x 9-inch glass baking dish.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
Beat together eggs, granulated sugar, lemon juice and baking powder.
Stir into egg mixture.
Pour over baked crust. Return to oven and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes longer.
Sprinkle with additional powdered sugar.
Cool.
Cut into bars.
Makes 36 bars.
