Cheese Grits Souffl - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. quick cooking grits
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    3 c. boiling water
    3/4 tsp. salt
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    In a large pot, put grits in 3 cups boiling water. Cook over low heat until very thick. Remove from heat and add butter. Stir until melted. Add salt and pepper. Stir eggs into milk. Add to grits and mix well. Add grated cheese. Pour into a deep 3-quart greased casserole and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven, uncovered, for 40 to 50 minutes. Serves 6.
