Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head lettuce, shredded
    1 c. diced celery
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    1 sweet onion, chopped fine
    1 lb. bacon, cooked crisp and broken up
    4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
Preparation
    Place in 9 x 13-inch pan in order in layers.
    Mix 2 cups mayonnaise with 2 teaspoons sugar.
    Spread over the top; sprinkle with 4 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese.
    Cover and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours.
