Wesleyan Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 stick butter
    1 c. uncooked long grain rice (Uncle Ben's)
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    1 can beef consomme soup
    1 can water
    1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter in casserole dish.
    Stir in remaining ingredients. Bake 45 minutes at 375\u00b0, uncovered.
