Fruited Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. 100% bran
1 1/2 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 c. soft margarine
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. prunes or apricots, cut in small pieces
1 medium apple, peeled, cored and cut in small pieces
1 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/3 c. brown sugar
Preparation

In large bowl, mix bran and milk.
Let stand.
In small bowl, mix flour, baking powder and brown sugar.
Add raisins and cut fruit to flour mixture.
Mix well to cover fruit.
Add egg and margarine to bran mixture; stir.
Add flour mixture gradually to bran mixture until all is moist.
Put in muffin pans and bake 20 minutes at 400\u00b0 in preheated oven.
Makes 12 muffins.
