Scrumptious Double Chocolate Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. butter or margarine, divided
1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Preparation

In a large bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda.
Blend in 1/3 cup melted butter.
Add boiling water.
Stir until well blended. Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining butter.
Add flour, vanilla and salt.
Stir in nuts and chocolate pieces.
Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
Cool.
Makes 3 dozen. Can be iced or powdered.
