Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. boiling water
2 to 4 c. raw peanuts
1 Tbsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Grease a large cookie sheet with butter.
Cook sugar, syrup and water until a soft ball forms (236\u00b0).
Add peanuts and cook until amber colored (294\u00b0).
Remove from stove and add vanilla and soda.
Stir for 30 to 45 seconds, briskly.
Pour onto cookie sheet and spread out quickly to about 1 peanut thickness.
Once cooled, run a flat knife under it to loosen and turn onto a brown paper bag.
Wipe excess grease from surface.
When completely cooled, break into pieces.
