Festive Spoon Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 (8 oz.) pkg. mixed dried fruit
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. soft margarine
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
powdered sugar (for top)
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 c. flour
salt (optional)
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. water

Preparation

Cut fruit; combine with water, 3/4 cup sugar, lemon juice and allspice.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Set aside.
