Mother'S Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. tomatoes
    2 whole cloves
    1 large sliced onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. margarine
    1 1/2 tsp. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    3 c. milk
Preparation
    Sieve tomatoes; add cloves, onion, salt and sugar.
    Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.
    Remove onion and cloves. Cream margarine and flour and mix a little of the tomato mixture into it.
    Then blend into larger tomato mixture.
    Bring to a boil again and add soda.
    Add tomato mixture to warm milk and reheat.
