Oatmeal Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

32 Kraft caramels
1 c. flour
1 c. quick oats
3/4 c. brown sugar
5 Tbsp. light cream
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. melted butter
6 oz. chocolate chips or less
1/2 c. pecans
Preparation

Melt the caramels with the light cream in a double boiler. Combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, soda, salt and melted butter and press half of the mix in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Remove from oven. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips and pecans. Pour the caramel mixture over. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0 or until golden. Chill 1 to 2 hours before cutting.
