Strawberry Swizzle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. strawberry-flavored gelatin
    2 c. hot water
    1 c. cold water
    1 large bottle (3 1/2 to 4 c.) ginger ale, chilled
    1 qt. vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in hot water. Add cold water; chill until syrupy (about 1 hour).
