Easy Beer Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 (12 oz.) can beer, at room temperature
Preparation
    Mix flour and sugar; add beer in thirds.
    Batter will foam and make stiff dough.
    Pour into greased bread pan.
    Smooth over top. Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Upon removing from oven, smear top with butter or margarine (about 1/8 pound).
    Cool on rack.
    Raisins, nuts and cinnamon are optional.
