Baked Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. (about 1 qt.) fresh strawberries
1 c. granulated sugar
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. butter
pastry for double-crust (9-inch) pie
Preparation

Wash and hull strawberries; cut in half if very large.
Add sugar and cornstarch to berries; mix gently.
Turn into pastry-lined 9-inch pie plate.
Sprinkle with lemon juice and dot with butter.
Cover with lattice crust or plain top crust with a few slashes cut in top.
Seal edges well and flute.
Bake at 425\u00b0 on rack below center of oven for 15 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake about 45 minutes longer or until filling has thickened.
