Chewy Pecan Cookie Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

In a large bowl, mix sugar, mayonnaise and vanilla until well blended.
Stir in flour mixture and 1/2 cup pecans.
(Dough will be thick and sticky.)
Press into well-greased 8-inch square baking pan.
Sprinkle with the remaining pecans and press into dough.
Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes or until pick inserted comes out clean.
Cool.
Cookies are soft while hot, but firm when cool.
