Beef Stew And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef chuck or stew beef
    2 Tbsp. fat
    4 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    6 carrots, cubed
    6 potatoes, cubed
    1 lb. small onions
    dash of allspice or cloves
Preparation
    Cut meat into cubes and brown in the hot fat.
    Add water, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, sliced onion and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Add carrots, onions and potatoes the last 30 minutes. Remove meat and vegetables and thicken the gravy as follows:
