Creamy Coffee Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. instant coffee
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 well-beaten eggs
    5 c. cold water
    1 c. light cream
    1 qt. softened vanilla ice cream
    nutmeg (optional)
Preparation
    Dissolve coffee and sugar in water; stir in vanilla.
    Stir cream into well beaten eggs.
    Add coffee mixture.
    Beat in ice cream.
    Chill at least one hour.
    Just before serving, beat to blend.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg, if desired.
    Makes 2 1/2 quarts or 20 servings.
