White Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. milk, scalded
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. butter
1 c. warm water
1 pkg. active dry yeast
about 5 1/2 c. flour
cornmeal
Preparation

Scald milk; stir in sugar, salt and butter and cool to lukewarm.
Measure warm water into large warm bowl.
Sprinkle in yeast; stir until dissolved.
Stir in lukewarm milk mixture; add 3 cups flour.
beat until smooth.
Add enough flour to make a soft dough.
