Freezer Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage
    1 green bell pepper
    2 carrots (optional)
    1 heaping Tbsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Grate first 3 ingredients and add salt.
    Mix well.
    Let stand for 2 hours.
    Drain.
    Bring to boil the sugar, vinegar, water and celery seed.
    Boil 2 minutes and pour while hot over cabbage mixture.
    Let cool well for at least 3 hours.
    Put in containers. Have ample juice over top.
    Freeze.
