Ingredients

2 c. cherries
3/4 c. white sugar
3 Tbsp. butter
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. boiling water
Preparation

Line a well buttered pan with 2 cups of cherries.
Cream together 3/4 cup white sugar and 3 tablespoons butter, then add 1 cup sifted flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt, alternating with 1/2 cup milk.
Pour this batter over the cherries.
