Egg Nog Punch(Good For Holidays!) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites
    1/4 c. sugar
    6 egg yolks
    1/2 c. Karo dark corn syrup
    1/2 pt. half and half cream
    1/4 c. light rum
    1 pt. vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    In large bowl with mixer at high speed, beat 6 egg whites until foamy.
    Gradually beat in 1/4 cup sugar until stiff peaks form.
    In small bowl with mixer at medium-low speed, beat the 6 egg yolks and 1/2 cup Karo syrup about 5 minutes or until thick and lemon colored.
    Add 1/2 pint half and half cream.
    Beat until well mixed.
    Fold into egg white mixture.
    If desired, stir in 1/4 cup dark or light rum.
    Cover and refrigerate.
    Place 1 pint vanilla ice cream in punch bowl.
    Pour egg nog mixture over ice cream.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Makes 24 half-cup servings.
