Nutmeg Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
    2 c. white sugar
    4 eggs
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Sift together dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
    Pour into three greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until cake tests done.
    Cool in pans on rack 10 minutes.
    Turn out of pans onto rack and cool completely.
