Red Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    3/4 c. juice from cherries, strawberries or raspberries
    1/4 tsp. almond flavoring (if desired)
    few drops red food coloring (if desired)
Preparation
    Mix the sugar and cornstarch in saucepan.
    Stir the water and fruit juice in gradually.
    Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in the almond flavoring and food coloring, if desired.
    Use over cake slices or ice cream.
