Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 c. water
2 c. vinegar
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Bring sugar, water, vinegar and lemon juice to a boil.
Add spices in a cloth bag and boil.
Add beets and cook 15 minutes. Put into hot jars and seal with hot lids and rings.
