Sweet And Sour Shrimp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. shrimp or chicken
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. rice wine or cooking sherry
    5 long stem green onions, cut up
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/3 c. water
    cooked rice
Preparation
    Mix together the vinegar and rice wine, slowly adding the sugar to taste and stirring constantly.
    The mixture should have a sweet but sour taste.
    Remove the shells from the shrimp; devein if you prefer.
    Heat up oil in a pan.
    Add shrimp or chicken when pan is hot; cook until done.
    Reduce heat.
    Pour vinegar mixture into pan; stir well.
    Mix cornstarch and water; slowly pour into pan to thicken mixture.
    Stir until bubbles (you may not need all of thickener).
    Add green onions just before serving.
    Serve with or over rice.
    Makes 3 to 4 servings.
