Baked French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large eggs, lightly beaten
    2/3 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    8 pieces French bread, cut in 1-inch thick pieces
    1/2 stick (1/4 c.) unsalted butter
Preparation
    In large flat dish, combine eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla. Let bread soak in mixture 2 minutes. Turn and let soak until all custard is absorbed.
