Prune Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. cooked prunes
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
1 c. milk
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar (for egg whites)
Preparation

Measure prunes whole, then remove pits and slice fine.
Cream butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar.
Add egg yolks and beat until creamy. Add milk alternately with flour sifted with salt, baking powder and soda and beat well.
Add prunes and flavorings.
Stir until well blended.
