Sweet And Sour Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
    1/4 c. water
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Saute green pepper and onion in oil until tender-crisp.
    Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.
    To syrup, blend vinegar, brown sugar, water, soy sauce and cornstarch.
    Add to sauteed vegetables and cook, stirring constantly, until sauce is thick and clear.
    Add pineapple and heat thoroughly.
    Yield:
    1 1/2 to 2 cups.
